Toki Japanese Koma Dako
Another kite created by Japanese master kite artist, Mikio Toki, this kite is much larger (23 inches square) and slightly more complex to make than the Toki Kaku Dako. It is made of washi (Japanese paper), with bamboo spars from Japan, and can be integrated with lessons in Japanese culture and visual arts.
Assembled kits are shown with painted patterns for display purposes, kites will ship with off-white washi paper sails.
Decoration: Decorate with markers, crayons or ink.
Recommended Age: Appropriate for ages 13 and up.
Ideal wind conditions for this kite: Light (flag on a pole gently moving, not fluttering) to Medium (a flag on a pole is steadily moving, fluttering).
Materials You Supply: Markers, crayons or ink for decorating, white glue, toothpick.
