Sometimes called the D-handle, this winder is a good starting point for kite enthusiasts and kids. With 100 feet of cotton string this setup is plenty long, winds and unwinds easily, and is affordable for numerous small projects. Unlike polyester line, this string does not fray, and is easier on the hands while flying.
